Indonesia, New Zealand expand renewable energy program in Maluku
Indonesia, Sept. 14 -- The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources is expanding the New Zealand-Maluku Renewable Energy for Sustainable Energy (NZMATES) program to promote renewable energy use and improve electricity access across the Maluku Islands.
The ministry's Director General of New, Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation (EBTKE), Prof. Eniya Listiani Dewi, said on Monday that the renewable energy partnership in Maluku had been underway for five years and was now entering its second phase.
"We have established close cooperation with the New Zealand Government. This partnership began five years ago, with a specific focus on the Maluku region," she said.
