New York, Sept. 27 -- Indonesia and the Maldives have agreed to revitalize their bilateral relations, focusing on public health cooperation and mutual support in international forums.

The agreement was reached during a meeting between Indonesian Foreign Minister Sugiono and Maldivian Foreign Minister Abdulla Khaleel on the sidelines of the 80th UN General Assembly in New York on Friday.

"Indonesia and the Maldives are committed to revitalizing our bilateral relationship," Sugiono said. "Through cooperation in public health and support in international forums, we are strengthening our friendship while contributing to our shared interests."
