Natuna, Riau Islands, Aug. 17 -- Indonesia's Joint Regional Defense Command I (Kogabwilhan I) distributed 300 food aid packages to residents in Natuna, Riau Islands Province, on Sunday as part of the country's 80th Independence Day celebrations.
The aid packages were handed out during a ceremony at Piwang Beach, East Bunguran Subdistrict, where Natuna District Head Cen Sui Lan was also present.
Kogabwilhan I Commander Lt. Gen. Kunto Arief Wibowo said the humanitarian effort reflects the military's commitment to supporting the welfare of communities in the country's outermost and border regions.
