Jakarta, Oct. 29 -- The Indonesian National Police (Polri) handled 49,306 drug-related cases in the first year of President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka's administration.

"Between October 2024 and October 2025, the Polri uncovered 49,306 drug cases involving 66,572 suspects," Polri Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo said during a drug destruction event in South Jakarta on Wednesday.

In the presence of President Prabowo, he noted that the police had confiscated a total of 214.84 tons of narcotics over the past year. The seized substances included 186.7 tons of marijuana, 9.2 tons of methamphetamine, 1.9 tons of synthetic "gorilla" tobacco, and 2.1 million ecstasy pills.
