Indonesia, Nov. 4 -- Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka said Tuesday that the government plans to build 24 hospitals across Papua as part of the 2025-2029 National Medium-Term Development Plan.
The hospital construction is among the government's top priorities to improve healthcare and ensure equal access for people in the six Papuan provinces, he said during a meeting at the State Treasury Building in Manokwari, West Papua.
"In the 2025-2029 RPJMN, the government will build 24 hospitals in the Papua region," Gibran said.
He said the new facilities will include mammography units, CT scans, cardiac catheterization labs, MRI machines, and specialist doctors.
