Jakarta, April 16 -- Indonesian Human Rights Minister Natalius Pigai has called for an independent investigation into a fatal shooting that killed at least five civilians in Kemburu, Puncak District, Central Papua Province, emphasizing the need for fact disclosure and accountability.

He specifically mentioned the National Commission on Human Rights (Komnas HAM), expressing confidence in its ability to provide the public with detailed information on the case amid limited official sources.
