Jakarta, March 10 -- Speaker of the House of Representatives (DPR) Puan Maharani opened the plenary meeting of the 2025-2026 Fourth Session by raising the Middle East conflict following strikes by the United States and Israel on Iran.

She said the world is witnessing a geopolitical conflict involving the use of military force. The tension reflects international relations shaped by strategic interests, regional security dominance, and competition among global powers.
