Jakarta, Oct. 2 -- The House of Representatives (DPR) has approved the third amendment to Law No. 10 of 2009 on Tourism, enacting it into law to ensure that tourism development remains inclusive and sustainable.
The approval was granted during the DPR's 6th Plenary Meeting of the 2025-2026 session, held at the parliamentary complex on Thursday and chaired by Deputy Speaker Sufmi Dasco Ahmad.
"Can the bill be approved as law?" Ahmad asked, prompting unanimous agreement from members of the House.
The Chair of DPR Commission VII stated that the revision is essential to ensure tourism development becomes more inclusive, sustainable, and beneficial to local communities.
