Jakarta, Oct. 6 -- The Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR) has approved the Bill on Labor Protection for enactment into law, advancing the process by around three weeks ahead of the deadline set by the Constitutional Court (MK).

Lawmakers endorsed the bill during the ninth plenary meeting of the House's first sitting period of the 2026-2027 parliamentary year at the Parliament Building in Jakarta on Tuesday.

"To all factions, shall we approve the bill for enactment into law?" the House Speaker Puan Maharani asked the session, drawing approval from legislators.
