Indonesia, Oct. 6 -- Hotel occupancy in Mataram City, West Nusa Tenggara, surpassed expectations during MotoGP Indonesia at the Mandalika Circuit on October 3-5, according to the local tourism office.

Mataram Tourism Service head Cahya Samudra said that hotel occupancy reached 100 percent, above the 80 percent target, based on data from the Mataram Hotel Association (AHM).

"Even though Mataram City is a buffer zone, hotel occupancy rates reached 100 percent," he said.

AHM chair I Made Adiyasa Kurniawan said occupancy exceeded 100 percent on October 4, a day before the race. Three- and four-star hotels were fully booked, while one- and two-star hotels reached 90 percent occupancy.
