Jakarta, Aug. 23 -- The Head of the Hajj Organizing Agency (BP Haji), Mochammad Irfan Yusuf, said his agency is ready to implement the government and House of Representatives' (DPR) decision to change BP Haji's to the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah.

"We are ready if there is a change from BP Haji to the Ministry of Hajj. In fact, we would have more convenience if this agency became a ministry," Yusuf said here on Saturday.

Yusuf stated that there was already an agreement in principle regarding the institutional transformation into a ministry. However, formal ratification still awaits approval in a plenary session of the House of Representatives.
