Batam, Sept. 26 -- Deputy Minister of Hajj and Umrah Dahnil Azhar Simanjuntak affirmed that all personnel joining the newly established ministry-both at the central and regional levels-must be free of any corruption allegations.
"We want to ensure that everyone entering the Ministry of Hajj has no history of corruption," Dahnil stated during a coordination meeting for the establishment of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in Batam, Riau Islands, on Friday.
He explained that the upcoming revision of the Hajj Law will trigger a significant transfer of assets and personnel from other ministries, including the Ministry of Religious Affairs and the Ministry of Health, to the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah.
