Jakarta, Oct. 19 -- The United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres lauded Indonesia's unwavering commitment to multilateralism and the UN, especially through its participation in the UN peacekeeping missions.

According to the UN Spokesperson Office, the sentiment was conveyed by Guterres during his meeting with Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto at the presidential retreat in Hambalang, Bogor District, West Java, on Sunday (Oct 18).

"The Secretary-General thanked Indonesia for its support for multilateralism and the United Nations, including through its contribution to peacekeeping operations," the UN Spokesperson Office stated in its statement.
