Jakarta, Oct. 2 -- Green industries and digital transformation are key pillars for deepening Indonesia-South Korea economic ties, South Korea's Ambassador to Indonesia Yoon Soon-gu said in Jakarta on Thursday.

"Environmentally friendly sectors and digital transformation are two important pillars for further developing bilateral economic relations between Indonesia and South Korea," Yoon said at an event marking South Korea's National Day and Armed Forces Day.

He said South Korea imports substantial volumes of natural resources from Indonesia, including coal, making Indonesia its second-largest source of coal imports by volume.
