Gresik, East Java, Sept. 18 -- The government is continuing to expand Indonesia's household gas network, targeting the completion of one million connections by 2028 as part of efforts to achieve energy self-sufficiency, Presidential Chief of Staff Dudung Abdurrachman said.

"It will be completed in 2028," he said while inspecting preparations for the residential household gas network in Gresik District, East Java, on Friday.

Dudung said the network expansion is part of the national priority programs initiated by President Prabowo Subianto and included in the 2025-2029 National Medium-Term Development Plan.
