Indonesia, Aug. 18 -- Indonesia's Ministry of Culture has allocated a budget of Rp2 billion (US$112.000) to upgrade collection displays at Regional Museum of Tulungagung in East Java, aiming to enhance the museum's appeal and enrich visitors' educational experience.

Head of Culture and Tourism Office in Tulungagung, Ardian Candra, said on Tuesday the local government had proposed the revitalisation of the Regional Museum to the Ministry of Culture as early as 2025 and had received approval for the arrangement in 2026.

"A team of evaluators from the Culture Ministry decided to prioritise the display reconfiguration," Candra said in Tulungagung on Tuesday, noting that the ministry has yet to endorse facility expansion.
