Jakarta, Jan. 14 -- The government is preparing a bill on Countering Disinformation and Foreign Propaganda to counter various types of disinformation and propaganda directed at Indonesia.

Coordinating Minister for Law, Human Rights, Immigration, and Corrections Yusril Ihza Mahendra on Wednesday said that many misunderstandings still linger in news and information from external parties regarding national developments and interests, which are used as propaganda material to corner Indonesia.

"This is not only in the political sphere, but also in the economic sphere, especially related to competition," he spoke to media.
