Jakarta, Sept. 14 -- The Indonesian government on Monday inked the Joint Ministerial Decree on Indonesia Shared Spaces (RBI), a move aimed at strengthening women's empowerment and child protection across regions.

The decree was signed by Home Affairs Minister Muhammad Tito Karnavian, along with Women's Empowerment and Child Protection Minister Arifah Fauzi and Villages and Development of Disadvantaged Regions Minister Yandri Susanto, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Home Affairs in Jakarta.

Tito underscored that issues surrounding the protection of women and children are international concerns, including for the United Nations.
