Jakarta, Aug. 19 -- Indonesia's Social Affairs Ministry has guaranteed the supply of basic necessities for more than 400 people displaced by a magnitude-5.8 earthquake in Poso District, Central Sulawesi.
"More than 400 people are affected, and the Social Affairs Ministry is providing for all of them," Social Affairs Minister Saifullah Yusuf said here Tuesday.
Emergency aid, including food, clean water, tents, blankets, clothing, and medicine, was delivered through the ministry's Nipotowe Technical Implementation Unit in Palu, the capital of Central Sulawesi Province.
A public kitchen has also been set up, and trauma recovery teams are on standby if needed.
