Jakarta, May 18 -- Indonesia's Ministry of Villages and Development of Disadvantaged Regions encourages the development of Tourism Village program around Anyer-Carita-Cinangka area in Banten Province.

"We have the Tourism Village Program. Later, we will develop tourism potential in the Anyer-Carita-Cinangka area," Minister of Villages and Development of Disadvantaged Regions, Yandri Susanto, said in a statement received here on Monday.

He attended the opening of a resort in Carita Sub-district, Serang District, Banten Province, on Sunday (May 17).

The tourism villages being developed will collaborate with several hotels in the area to provide tour package to attract tourists visiting the destinations.
