Jakarta, Feb. 11 -- The Directorate General of Intellectual Property (DJKI) of the Law Ministry is committed to increasing the number of registered domestic patents, following the declaration of 2026 as the year of the patent.
Director General of Intellectual Property, Hermansyah Siregar, stated that the increase in registered domestic patents is an important indicator of the progress of national innovation. Patents reflect the nation's ability to produce original technological solutions.
"Registered domestic patents demonstrate that innovation is born and developing in Indonesia. This is evidence of national capacity to create technology, not just adopt it," Siregar said in a statement in Jakarta on Wednesday.
