Jakarta, Aug. 23 -- Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology Fauzan emphasized the importance of equalizing access to higher education and improving the quality of education in the eastern parts of Indonesia, especially Maluku and North Maluku.
"Universities in Maluku and North Maluku must become centers for the emergence of innovation as well as agents of regional development," he confirmed here on Saturday.
During the Coordination Meeting of Higher Education Service Institutions for Region XII in Ambon, Maluku, on Friday, he underlined that higher education development in Indonesia must focus on results and real impact for the community.
