Jakarta, Sept. 4 -- The government is planning to position Indonesia as a content powerhouse, bringing local culture, characters, and stories into creative works that penetrate the global market.

"We do not want Indonesia to merely become a market for global content; it must become a content powerhouse," Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky Harsya said at the launch of Nusantara Rising, initiated by the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) in Jakarta on Friday.

According to him, Indonesia possesses abundant culture, talent, and creativity with the potential as an economic strength and a source of influence on the global stage.
