Penajam Paser Utara, Aug. 19 -- The Authority of Nusantara Capital City (IKN) is targeting at least 109 modern landed houses built in the core area of IKN in Penajam, East Kalimantan, to be ready for occupancy by 2028.

"As planned, two years after construction begins, the first 109 families will occupy the modern landed houses in the IKN," said Sudiro Roi Santoso, Deputy for Funding and Investment of IKN Authority, when asked about the IKN's residential preparations in Penajam on Tuesday.

The modern landed houses are built with an environmentally friendly and energy-efficient concept, in line with the direction of sustainable urban development, which is the beginning of life in the IKN.
