Jakarta, Oct. 9 -- The government disbursed Rp574.2 trillion in education funds as of September 30, 2026, up 39.5 percent from Rp411.7 trillion in the same period last year.

Finance Minister Suahasil Nazara said at a press conference here on Friday that the funds supported various education needs, including student assistance, educator welfare, operational costs, and facility repairs.

He said Rp184.3 trillion went toward programs benefiting school students and university students, including the Smart Indonesia Program (PIP), the Smart Indonesia Card for Higher Education (KIP Kuliah), and the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program.
