Bengkulu, Oct. 28 -- The Transmigration Ministry, in collaboration with Diponegoro University (Undip), is developing the potential of local commodities such as robusta coffee, rubber, and premium durian in the Padang Ulak Tanding (PUT) transmigration area, Rejang Lebong, Bengkulu.
"The productivity of robusta coffee in the PUT area can reach four tons per hectare. With proper management, coffee and rubber can become the driving forces of the local transmigrant economy," said Rosyida, Head of Undip's Patriot Expedition Field Research Team, contacted here on Tuesday.
