Indonesia, Nov. 1 -- The Coordinating Ministry for Political and Security Affairs and the Nusantara Capital Authority (OIKN) have reaffirmed their commitment to developing the Nusantara new capital city into a future city that is cyber-secure, sustainable, and inclusive.
"The success of a smart city is not only measured by technological progress but also by the quality of its people," the ministry's Assistant Deputy for Prevention and Cybersecurity Capacity, Budi Eko Pratomo, said during a visit here on Saturday.
The establishment of Nusantara as the country's new government center boils down to the main problem of uneven national economic development, as it relies on Jakarta and Java Island as the sole centers of economic growth.
