Jakarta, March 17 -- Deputy Minister of Health Dante Saksono Harbuwono has advised that children infected with measles should be isolated and refrain from gathering with family members during the 2026 Eid al-Fitr holiday.

"If they contract measles, they must be isolated and should not join family gatherings in their hometowns. If necessary, they should wear masks to prevent transmission to other family members," Harbuwono said while inspecting a health post for homecoming travelers at Gambir Station here on Tuesday.

He explained that measles symptoms can be detected early as they are visible, such as the appearance of spots on the back of the neck.
