Gorontalo, June 19 -- Indonesian Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka conducted a firsthand inspection of the Bulango Ulu Dam under construction in Bone Bolango District, Gorontalo Province, on Friday to ensure the national strategic project remains on track.

At the site, he received a briefing from a Public Works Ministry official, who reported that the dam had reached 94.99 percent completion.

The infrastructure is being built to strengthen flood control and supply raw water to local communities.

Gibran asked whether residents already had access to alternative water sources and was informed that communities currently rely on the Alale and Lomaya dams.
