Indonesia, Oct. 29 -- Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Bahlil Lahadalia said his ministry is prioritizing the electrification ratio (RE) in underdeveloped, outermost, and frontier (3T) regions, aiming for full electrification across Indonesia by 2029-2030.
"By 2029 to 2030, all villages and sub-districts must have electricity. The next generation must have access to proper facilities to receive quality education, healthcare, and economic opportunities," he said on Wednesday.
According to Lahadalia, the national electrification ratio reached 99.83 percent in the first semester of 2025. The government continues to focus on the 3T regions, as many areas still lack access to electricity, he added.
