Batam, Aug. 25 -- A free health screening program in Batam, Riau Islands, is proving effective in identifying mental health issues among adolescents, local health authorities said Monday.

The Cek Kesehatan Gratis (CKG) initiative goes beyond physical checkups to screen for mental and emotional conditions such as depression, anxiety, and social difficulties, Batam Health Office Head Didi Kusmarjadi said.

"CKG (free health checkup) offers a comprehensive view of adolescent health, helping detect issues early before they escalate," he said.
