Jakarta, Aug. 24 -- A house fire in Menteng Dalam, South Jakarta, killed four people and injured one early Monday, the South Jakarta Fire and Rescue Agency said.

"Four people died and one was injured," said Asril Rizal, head of the agency, in Jakarta on Monday.

The agency received a report of the fire at 3:20 a.m. local time and deployed 86 personnel to extinguish the blaze.

As of 5:02 a.m., firefighters were still cooling the site. "The status is yellow, meaning the cooling process is ongoing," Asril said.

The agency was still investigating the cause, sequence of events and estimated losses from the fire.
