Jakarta, June 11 -- Head of the State-Owned Enterprises Regulatory Body (BP BUMN), Dony Oskaria, outlined three main pillars of the economic transformation being pursued by the government to lead Indonesia toward becoming a developed nation by 2045.

"In a country undergoing transformation, there will certainly be responses, both positive and negative. However, what is most important is public understanding of the transformation process that is being fundamentally carried out by the government," Oskaria said in a statement received here on Thursday.

The three pillars are food security, energy security, and human resource strengthening.

No country can develop sustainably without the ability to meet its own food needs, Oskaria noted.
