Jakarta, Aug. 20 -- Indonesian Foreign Minister Sugiono is scheduled to undertake working visits to Australia and New Zealand next week to bolster bilateral cooperation across defense, economic resilience, and regional security.

Foreign Ministry's spokesperson Yvonne Mewengkang stated that Sugiono will begin his official itinerary in Melbourne on August 26 to attend the 10th Indonesia-Australia 2+2 Foreign and Defense Ministers' Meeting.

"The 2+2 Meeting serves as a strategic forum for both nations to discuss enhancing bilateral ties and key security issues of mutual interest," Yvonne told reporters during a media briefing in Jakarta on Thursday.
