Jakarta, Sept. 30 -- Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa pledged to shorten the compensation payment period for State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) from three months to just one month.
He said the previous disbursement mechanism took too long and risked disrupting the implementation of Public Service Obligation (PSO) programs run by state companies.
Faster subsidy and compensation disbursements, he added, are expected to maintain stable cash flow.
"This is to ensure that PSO programs do not disrupt the cash flow of companies such as Pertamina and PLN," Purbaya said during a hearing with the House of Representatives' Commission XI in Jakarta on Tuesday.
