Jakarta, April 24 -- Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa is projecting Indonesia's economic growth to reach 5.7 percent in the second quarter of 2026.
He affirmed that the Indonesian government still has room to bolster economic activity in the second quarter, given that the current period has only reached April.
"April is not over yet, and we still have May and June. Once the data for April is clear, we will review it and give the economy another push," he told the press in Jakarta on Friday.
Purbaya noted that the current rise in commodity prices will not necessarily slow down economic performance. He argued that the impact will depend largely on the scale of the price increases and how broadly they affect public economic activity....
