Jakarta, Oct. 7 -- Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa visited the Jakarta Town Hall on Tuesday to discuss economic development cooperation with Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo, including the construction of a new headquarters for Bank Jakarta.

Speaking to the press after the meeting, Sadewa expressed support for the governor's proposal to utilize state-owned land for the new Bank Jakarta building, formerly known as Bank DKI, located in the Sudirman Central Business District (SCBD), South Jakarta.

He said the project is expected to start this year and be completed within the next 15 months, noting that it could help boost economic activity and create more jobs in the capital.
