Jakarta, March 1 -- Ahmad Khoirul Umam, an international relations expert at Paramadina University, said that US-Israeli strikes on Iran challenge the credibility of the Board of Peace and expose contradictions between rhetoric on stability and actual military actions.

"The attack on Iran widens the gap between claims of regional stability and real military practices, while testing the credibility of peace narratives promoted through the Board of Peace," Ahmad said in Jakarta on Sunday.

He added that the strikes have prompted relatively independent Muslim-majority countries, such as Turkiye and Indonesia, to reconsider their engagement with the Board of Peace.
