Jakarta, July 15 -- Deputy Minister of Trade, Dyah Roro Esti Widya Putri, said that the Indonesia-European Union Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (IEU CEPA) could open up new export markets for green and sustainable Indonesian products.
"There are several flagship products that we can promote to the European market. The European market strongly emphasizes the aspect of sustainability, which includes renewable energy," she informed here on Monday.
In addition, she said that the sustainability aspect can also become a selling point for Indonesian beauty products made from organic ingredients.
So far, Indonesia's most popular export commodity to the European Union has been footwear, followed by furniture, Putri noted.
