Jakarta, Sept. 28 -- Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan spoke by phone with Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto to discuss strengthening trade and defense-industry cooperation, and invited him to attend the COP31 Leaders' Summit.

According to a statement from the Republic of Turkiye Directorate of Communications on Monday, Erdogan welcomed the two countries' solidarity on international platforms and said maintaining it would benefit both.

The two leaders discussed Indonesia-Turkiye bilateral relations as well as regional and global issues.

Their talks focused particularly on strengthening cooperation in trade and the defense industry.
