Samarinda, Feb. 21 -- The East Kalimantan Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Office is collaborating with various stakeholders, including government institutions, non-governmental organizations, and local residents, to conserve green turtles in the Derawan Islands, Berau District.
"Residents need to be involved in green turtle conservation, as community participation is key to long-term conservation success," said Irhan Hukmaidy, Head of the East Kalimantan Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Office, in Samarinda on Saturday.
