Jakarta, Aug. 27 -- Senior parliamentarians at Indonesia's House of Representatives (DPR) pledged to pass the Asset Forfeiture Bill by Dec. 15, 2026, as the legislature hosted demonstrators from the United Pati Community Alliance (AMPB) on Thursday.

DPR Deputy Speaker Sufmi Dasco Ahmad signed a letter of commitment during a hearing with AMPB representatives in Jakarta, witnessed by fellow deputy speakers Cucun Ahmad Syamsurijal and Saan Mustopa, as well as AMPB Coordinator Supriyono "Botok."

"An agreement has been reached; the DPR leadership is committed to finalizing the bill on time," Dasco remarked at the Parliament Complex.
