Jakarta, Aug. 15 -- Speaker of the House of Representatives (DPR) Puan Maharani affirmed that the DPR's legislative, surveillance, and budgetary functions are aimed at ensuring government policies serve the interests of the people and remain consistent with the Constitution.

She emphasized that these functions are not meant to undermine the government.
