Banda Aceh, Aceh, Aug. 8 -- Regional Representative Council (DPD) member Sudirman Haji Uma has asked the government to promptly repatriate a 24-year-old human trafficking victim from West Aceh district, identified by the initials MIS, from Cambodia.

"We have submitted an official request to the Directorate for the Protection of Indonesian Citizens at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to assist in the repatriation process of the Indonesian citizen who is a human trafficking victim," he informed here on Friday.

In addition to the request, Uma said that he has directly coordinated with the relevant parties at both national and international levels to secure MIS' repatriation.
