Palu, Aug. 26 -- Two flagship products from Central Sulawesi, Donggala Weaving and Palu Fried Shallots, are being showcased at Japan's Osaka Expo 2025 until October 13.

Their participation in the international exhibition is facilitated by the Creative Economy Movement (Gekraf) in collaboration with Indonesia's National Handicraft Council (Dekranas RI).

Head of the Central Sulawesi Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights Rakhmat Renaldy said in Palu on Tuesday that the two products are clear examples of how local goods can gain global recognition when protected under Indonesia's geographical indication (GI) framework.
