Jakarta, May 28 -- Defense Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin and Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) Deputy Commander General Tandyo Budi Revita celebrated Eid alAdha with residents and soldiers of the XVII/Kasuari Regional Military Command (Kodam) in Manokwari, West Papua.

In a press release cited here on Thursday, TNI said the two leaders joined Eid alAdha congregational prayers at Kodam headquarters on Wednesday (May 27) to strengthen ties with locals while promoting unity, tolerance, and togetherness in West Papua.

The celebrations featured a sermon delivered by Baharuddin Sabollah, who encouraged worshippers to uphold the noble values of Eid al-Adha, including sincerity, sacrifice, social solidarity, and togetherness.
