Jakarta, Aug. 5 -- Indonesia's sovereign investment agency Danantara will prioritize artificial intelligence adoption in the third year of a five-year roadmap to transform state-owned enterprises, Chief Operating Officer Dony Oskaria said.

The AI initiative is part of a broader transformation strategy being prepared jointly by Danantara and the State-Owned Enterprises Supervisory Agency, known as BP BUMN.

"The third year will focus on innovation and the adoption of AI technologies," Dony told reporters at the Finance Ministry in Jakarta on Wednesday.

His remarks outlined the latest framework for a five-year restructuring plan aimed at improving the performance and competitiveness of Indonesia's state-owned companies.
