Danantara backs financing for Indonesia's national e-motorcycles
Jakarta, Aug. 13 -- Indonesia's sovereign wealth fund Danantara Indonesia has affirmed that its financial subsidiaries, including state-owned banks, are ready to finance the domestically produced national electric motorcycle (Molinas) initiative.
"Through the banking sector, we are offering financing at lower interest rates and with longer loan tenors," Danantara Indonesia CEO Rosan Perkasa Roeslani said during the launch of the initiative in Bekasi District, West Java, on Thursday.
Roeslani, who also serves as Minister of Investment and Downstreaming, said the government is considering reducing or even eliminating the current 10-percent down payment requirement to stimulate public demand for electric motorcycles.
