Jakarta, June 27 -- Minister of Culture Fadli Zon said community-based creative spaces play a strategic role in preserving cultural sustainability while encouraging innovation without losing traditional roots.

"Culture will remain alive not only because it is passed down, but because it is given space to be practiced, developed, and celebrated collectively by its communities," Zon said in an official statement received here on Saturday.

According to him, the commitment is in line with Article 32 paragraph (1) of the 1945 Constitution.
