Jakarta, Aug. 13 -- Deputy Creative Economy Minister, Irene Umar, presented the five-year roadmap for Indonesia's creative economy industry, with a vision to position the country as a leader in the sector across Southeast Asia, or ASEAN.

"Not only in terms of the size of the industry, but as policymakers, we have to be the driving force, because, believe it or not, the only country consistently recognized for its hexahelix implementation is Indonesia, and it is being actively implemented," she stated in Jakarta on Tuesday.

During a discussion with the local intellectual property (IP) creator community, Umar stated that Indonesia would emulate the United Kingdom, regarded globally as the "father of the creative economy."
